The mint manufactured an extremely limited mintage of 4,000 of these coins with .9999 pure silver and a weight of 31.39 grams. The Lover’s Knot Tiara is a special heirloom of the Royal British family. Former Queen Mary commissioned this special tiara in 1913 from Britain’s House of Garrard. Diamonds and pearls make up this gold and silver tiara, all of which had come from her family. She modeled this crown after her grandmother Princess Augusta of Hesse's tiara, which is the original Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara. Eventually, the commissioned piece was passed down to Queen Elizabeth II, who gifted it to her daughter-in-law Princess Diana. After the divorce from Prince Charles, the tiara returned to Queen Elizabeth II. This Canadian Mint coin honors the legacy of this tiara as one of the Queen’s favorites, and this was specially struck to celebrate her 95th birthday in 2021.  

The obverse of the coin displays the four portraits of Queen Elizabeth II that the mint has used since 1953. Each of them faces to the right of the coin, and the border is decorated with lovely curling accents. 

The reverse of the coin contains the high relief design of the tiara with Swarovski crystals and Mother of Pearl.
