The obverse showcases a refurbished edition of the Adolph A. Weinman “Walking Liberty” design. Restored design elements include Weinman's initials, the year of mintage font, and minor artistic details for Liberty's eye, bonnet, flag, and the sun's rays. Lady Liberty marches forward towards the setting sun. She carries oak and laurel branches in her left arm while extending her right arm to the horizon. The American flag is draped over her shoulders and billows gently in the breeze.

The new reverse design of the Type 2 Silver Eagle coin by artist Emily Damstra displays the American bald eagle in flight as it carries an oak branch in its talons. The eagle is surrounded by inscriptions including the country, weight, purity, denomination, and the US motto “E Pluribus Unum”.
