2021 1 oz Silver American Eagle Type 2 NGC MS 69 ER Eagle Label Mint Error (Weakly Struck)

Please note, this listing is for the 2021 Silver American Eagle with the New Reverse Design. Also, the pictures are stock images and may not depict the actual coin. The location, size, and the error appearance may vary.

Bullion Exchanges now carries the 2021 1 oz Silver American Eagle Type 2 NGC MS 69 ER Mint Error Coin. To commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the American Eagle coin program, the US Mint updated the reverse design of the 2021 American Type 2 Silver and Gold Eagle coins. The Mint also added new security features including an anti-counterfeit reeded edge that appears as a small gap. The Type 2 Silver Eagles continue to be produced from 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver. Further enhancing this particular 2021 Type 2 Silver Eagle coin’s appeal, NGC has graded it a near-perfect MS 69 with the Early Releases designation. This indicates the coin was received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository within 30 days of its initial release. The mint error mentioned on the label, "Weakly Struck", means the coin displays a lack of detail in specific areas of the design. Weakly Struck coins are not to be confused with “Worn Die” coins, which typically show fuzzy detail. This mint error eagle coin will arrive in an official NGC holder which will display a special Eagle label in honor of the 35th Anniversary. Add this 2021 1 oz Silver American Eagle Type 2 NGC MS 69 ER Mint Error coin to your collection today!

The obverse features the “Walking Liberty” illustration originally used on the 1916-1947 silver half-dollar. Elements modified to reflect the original design of the coin include Weinman's initials, the year of mintage font, as well as minor details for Liberty's eye, bonnet, flag, and the solar rays. Lady Liberty walks towards the setting sun while carrying oak and laurel branches. The American flag is draped over her shoulders and her dress billows gently in the wind.

The new reverse design of the American Silver Eagles depicts the American bald eagle in flight with an oak branch in its talons. Inscriptions that surround the eagle note the country, weight, purity, denomination, and US motto “E Pluribus Unum”.
