Although they do not contain the West Point mint mark on the coin’s surface, these particular 2020 Silver Eagles come from the West Point Mint. The well-known Walking Liberty design created by Adolph A. Weinman for the 1916 silver half dollar features on the obverse of this coin. Here, Lady Liberty strides confidently forward with her arm outstretched towards the sun. She cradles branches of olive in one arm and oak in her other arm. The coin’s reverse, designed by John  Mercanti, displays a majestic bald American eagle, perched behind a vertically striped shield with its wings spread open wide. The eagle holds a ribbon in its beak with the written phrase “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, and clutches olive branches and arrows in its sharp talons.
