2020-S 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagle PCGS PF 70 DCAM FDOI (SF Label)

The 2020-S 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagle graded PF 70 is now available for purchase from Bullion Exchanges! This monumental coin will display the original reverse from the San Francisco Mint one final time before the historic design update in 2021. Just like earlier issues, this certified 2020-S Proof Silver Eagle weighs 1 troy ounce and contains .999 fine silver. However, earnest collectors will want to add this coin to their collection, as it arrives graded a perfect Proof 70 DCAM! This Silver Eagle also received a “First Day of Issue” designation, meaning this coin was purchased within the first day of the coin’s official release. Furthermore, the PCGS holder will display the special San Francisco label, certifying the coin’s origin. Only 200,000 maximum of the 2020-S Silver Eagle Proof Coin will be manufactured, adding to the coin’s collector appeal. Be sure to obtain the last San Francisco Silver Eagle with the inaugural reverse design today, before this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity soars off the shelves.

In 2020, the US Mint celebrates the 35th anniversary of the first Silver American Eagle release in 1986, originally manufactured at the San Francisco Mint. Now, the John Mercanti Reverse Design makes its final debut at that very same mint, as the 2021-S Silver Eagle will feature a completely new design on the American coin. The Gold American Eagle will also showcase a new design as well after August 2021, marking the beginning of a new era for American coinage.

The obverse design, which will remain unchanged for future issues, displays Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty. Lady Liberty walks towards the sun while cradling branches of laurel and oak in her left arm. The words “Liberty” and “In God We Trust” are etched around the rim, along with the year of mintage on the bottom.

The reverse design, designed by John Mercanti in 1986 for the very first silver eagle, features a heraldic Eagle bearing a shield below thirteen stars, which represent the original 13 colonies.
