The coin’s reverse displays John Mercanti’s updated United States national coat of arms. This illustration displays a bald eagle with outstretched wings. It holds a bundle of arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other. Clutched in its beak is a banner that reads “E PLURIBUS UNUM”. Its chest bears a shield with the US flag, and 13 stars shine above the eagle’s head to signify the original colonies.
