This bimetallic coin was manufactured from the special process known as Bi-Metal Max. This process required completely covering an 11.5 oz copper center with 2 oz layers of .999 fine silver. These ultra-high relief coins were then given an antique finish.

The Nine Worthies Series is a new bimetallic coin collection that showcases nine historical, scriptural, and legendary people who embody the chivalrous ideal. Jacques de Longuyon in his book The Vows of the Peacock identified those who are featured in this collection. Three major groups of people emerged from the text that include Pagan, Christian, and Jewish peoples. Joshua is famous for leading the Israelites after Moses’ death. He is credited as the general who brought the Israelites to victory by exploring, then conquering the Promised Land of Canaan. 

The obverse of the Silver Joshua coin carries the Republic of Chad Coat of Arms legal tender with information on its face value, country, and year. Surrounding the legal tender is a border with classic religious imagery including an angel, a depiction of Eve, and more. 

The reverse of the bimetallic coin showcases a portrait of Joshua as he stares out at the viewer. He wears his classic armor with a helmet and sword, and he is surrounded by the same classic religious imagery from the obverse with an additional image of a snake, lion, and nature. His name is also featured on the right.
