Presenting the newest release from the Perth Mint Australian Lunar Series, the 2020 1/20 oz Gold Lunar Year of The Mouse Coin. Offered at Bullion Exchanges, this Lunar Year Mouse coin contains 1/20 ounces of .9999 pure gold. This coin is the very first release in the Lunar Series III from the Perth Mint. The Lunar Series I, the first 12 year series of the program, was first minted in 1999. The second iteration, Lunar Series II, began in 2008. This caused the two series to overlap for two years.
This Year of the Mouse coin (also referred to as the “Year of the Rat” coin), marks the first installment in the current 12-coin Lunar Zodiac Series. A new animal design will be introduced every year, similarly to the previous Lunar Series.
