2000 1 oz $100 Australia Gold Lunar Year of the Dragon NGC MS 69
This beautiful 2000 Australia Gold Lunar Year of the Dragon Coin is graded by NGC as Mint State 69 - Coin has a sharp strike with full original luster, with no more than two small non-detracting contact marks or flaws. No hairlines or scuff marks are visible. Eye appeal is exceptional.
The obverse displays the profile of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by designer Ian Rank-Broadley. His initial's "IRB" are inscribed directly below the Queen's neck. The words "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA" are displayed inside the outer perimeter of the bullion coin. The face value of the 1 oz gold coin "100 DOLLARS" is displayed at the bottom of the bullion coin. These $100 Gold Australia Lunar Series I were minted between 1996-2007.
The reverse of the bullion coin shows an image of a dragon, associated with the 2000 Chinese Lunar Calendar year. The Chinese Symbol found to the left of the animal is the symbol representation for that animal. The Year of Issue is located to the right of the lunar animal on the series one gold bullion coin. Below the lunar animal on the Series, I bullion coins are the coin's weight of "1 OZ" and purity "9999 GOLD."
