2019-S 1 oz Enhanced Reverse Proof Silver American Eagle PCGS PF 69 FDOI COA #01008
Bullion Exchanges is excited to carry the 2019-S 1 oz Enhanced Reverse Proof Silver American Eagle graded as nearly perfect PF 69 by PCGS. The First Day of Issue designation guarantees that PCGS received this coin for grading within the first week of its release. The “S” mintmark on the coin’s reverse indicates that it was struck by the San Francisco Mint. This Silver Eagle was assigned serial number 01008 from the U.S. Mint. Out of a mintage of only 30,000 coins, this serial number is relatively low. Additionally, the last numeral in this COAnumber, 8, represents good luck in Chinese tradition. This unique serial number adds another level to the desirability of the lowest mintage of the Silver Eagle release in history.
Silver American eagle coins have been minted continually since 1986 and are known for their high level of craftsmanship. The San Francisco Mint strikes these coins from 1 ounce of .999 silver, and also applies a mirror-like finish to the design elements on the enhanced reverse proof version of this coin seen here. The mint then also further details the design with special frosted finishes on isolated parts. This selective process greatly enhances the design’s visual appeal and makes these enhanced reverse silver eagles special even among the already popular silver eagle series.
This 2019 silver eagle’s obverse features the classic “Walking Liberty” design first created by Adolph Weinman for the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Here, Lady Liberty walks towards a sunrise as the American flag billows behind her. She stretches her right arm out towards stylized rays of sunshine while carrying oak and olive branches in her left arm. “LIBERTY,” the year of mintage, and “IN GOD WE TRUST” are inscribed along the rim.
The coin’s reverse, then, displays the United States Seal. This classic design focuses on an American bald eagle as it shows off its wingspan behind a shield decorated with the American flag. It grasps a banner reading “E PLURIBUS UNUM” in its beak while 13 stars fly over its head. These represent the 13 original colonies. The eagle also holds an olive branch in its right talon and a bundle of arrows in its left. Inscriptions marking the coin’s weight, purity, and denomination encircle the rim.
Enhanced reverse proof silver coins mark a significant improvement on an already beautiful coin. Add this unique example of American coinage to your silver collection today.
