Additionally, the pig and her offspring represent loyalty, family, and generosity. You’ll also find the year, weight, and purity of the coin. The Lunar collection stems from an ancient calendar. This calendar rotates on a twelve-year cycle with the pig being the final sign. The other animals include the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, and dog. Those said to be born under the pig are gentle, generous, and loyal. Previous pig years include 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, and 2007. The 2019 Year of the Pig will run from February 5th, 2019 to January 24th, 2020. The cycle will then restart with the Year of the Rat.
