2018 (W) 1 oz Silver American Eagle $1 Coin PCGS MS 70 First Strike (West Point)

This splendid 2018 (W) 1 oz Silver American Eagle Coin PCGS MS 70 First Strike (West Point) is one of the latest Silver Eagles certified by the prestigious PCGS as flawless and identified as produced at the West Point facility.

The American Silver Eagle series was released by the US Mint in 1986. It is the official silver bullion coin program of the Nation considered to bear one of the most graceful designs in the coinage history - the beautiful Walking Liberty - originally seen on the 1916-1947 half-dollars. A gorgeous representation of the American spirit and greatness, this exceptional coin is regarded as among the most beautiful collectibles. This wonderful piece was certified within the first 30 days of issue as being flawless and struck at the West Point facility, housed in PCGS’s West Point holder.

For this reason, this exceptional coin is an excellent addition and a highly-desired keepsake for any numismatist.

Coin grading companies can now identify the location of the facility where Silver American Eagles were minted. Although these bullion coins do not carry any mintmarks, the mint boxes display individual serial numbers which help identify their origin: West Point boxes have a six-digit serial number starting with 1,2,3, or a five-digital serial number which begins with the WP prefix. Boxes coming from the Philadelphia facility have a five-digit serial number starting with the number 1 while those struck at the San Francisco facility carry a six-digit serial number which starts with the number 4. Therefore, NGC and PCGS attribute the “W”, “P”, or “S” designations to the original labels of the coins and Bullion Exchanges is thrilled to offer the entire collection of certified Silver American Eagles with the mint locations revealed.

Coin Features:

  • Made from .999 fine silver with a weight of 1 oz.
  • Produced by the prominent United States Mint.

  • PCGS MS 70 First Strike: The coin comes in mint state condition and is graded by PCGS during the first 30 days of issue as bearing no flaws visible under 5x magnification.

  • Obverse: Displays the graceful image of Walking Liberty holding a laurel oak in her left hand and with her body enveloped in stars and stripes. Design: Adolph A. Weinman. Inscriptions: ”2018”, “Liberty”, and “In God We Trust”.
  • Reverse: Showcases the magnificent heraldic eagle holding arrows and an olive branch in its talons and carrying a shield, along with the 13 small stars. Design: John M. Mercanti. Engravings: “E Pluribus Unum”, “United States of America”, along with the denomination, purity, and weight.

The coin arrived quickly and in perfect condition. They might even over-package coins, but as long as I get my purchase in good condition, I'm fine with that.
