The 2017 D 1 oz. American Liberty Proof Uncirculated Silver Medal is now available in Fine Black Ruthenium with a beautiful 24K gold design of the new Liberty. This medal originally commemorated the 225th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Mint. Also included is the D mintmark, meaning that it was produced at the Denver Mint.

The obverse features the newly designed American Liberty who is an African-American woman wearing a crown of stars. The artist Justin Kunz created this new rendition of Liberty to pay homage to the ethnic diversity of the United States.

The Merrick Mint is renowned for releasing famous coins as well as new series in beautiful ruthenium and 24 karat gold. This .999 silver medal is coated in black ruthenium with a gold finish.
