The obverse design of these stunning coins presents Lady Liberty as an African-American woman, wearing a five-pointed star crown, honoring the bronze Statue of Freedom topping the arcade of the U.S. Capitol. The reverse design shows an eagle in flight, created by Chris Costello.

Each medal in this set was verified by NGC within the first 30 days after its release: San Francisco Mint in a proof finish as PF 69, Philadelphia Mint in the reverse proof finish as PF 69, Denver Mint in an uncirculated finish as MS 69, West Point Mint in an enhanced uncirculated finish as SP 69.
