Coin comes with an impressive antique finish obtained using the latest production techniques and an impressive diameter of 70 mm which allows every detail of its design be perfectly displayed.

The coin’s reverse depicts Fiji’s Coat of Arms granted on July 4, 1908. The elements that appear in the coat of arms represent Fiji's primary production and its links with both the colonial and pre-colonial past: the English lion, the sugar canes, a coconut palm, and a bunch of bananas. The remaining quarter shows a dove of peace, which was the main element of the flag of King Cakobau, the first King of Fiji. Two Fijian warriors dressed in mulberry bark tapa skirts, one of them holding a lance and the other a pineapple mace.

The national motto "Rerevaka na kalou ka doka na Tui" (“Fear God and honor the Queen”) placed above the coat of arm. The artwork completed with the inscriptions: “FIJI”, “$5”.

The coin’s obverse depicts a few playful panda bears, two of them are sitting down on the front side and eating a bamboo branch from their hands with a bamboo forest in the background. The two other cute panda bears are engraved on a forest background, sitting on the tree.
