2017 1 oz Silver American Eagle $1 Coin NGC MS 69 First Day of Issue (Retro)

American Silver Eagles are the official bullion of the United States of America. 2017 marks the 31st Anniversary of the mintage of this internationally praised series. The American Eagles are known to be one of the most popular designs in American coinage, presenting the beauty and excellent bullion quality. Each individual Silver American Eagle Coin produced by the United States Mint contains 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver and has a face value of $1 dollar. Firstly released in 1986, these coins have become highly appreciated among both collectors and investors. The classic, recognizable design of the Walking Liberty, the high-quality manufacturing technologies, and the reliable mint brand makes American Eagles a priceless addition to any precious metals portfolio

The design featured on the obverse is the incredible work of Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse displays a design created by John Mercanti, the United States Mint engraver- a heraldic bald American Eagle with a banner in its beak. Above its head, there are 13 stars arranged in a triangular pattern to represent the 13 original American colonies. This coin design had originally appeared on the half dollar.

The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) has graded this coin as Mint State 69, that means there are less than two visible imperfections on the coin, not to mention, it is also labeled the First Day of Issue and housed in a  beautiful Retro Holder.
