This outstanding 2016 Great Britain 2 oz Silver Queen's Beast Coin is the first UK bullion coin struck from .9999 pure silver and also the first one with the 2 oz. size. Moreover, the British Royal Mint released this stunning coin as the first issue in a 10-coin series. The series depicts a new design of the ten heraldic beasts which were present at The Queen’s coronation in 1953, making this coin a unique and excellent collectible for passionate numismatists.

Today, the original heraldic creatures can be found in the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. Their new depiction in the Heraldic Beasts series was designed by Jody Clark and starts with the fierce protector - the Lion of England. The next coins in the series, that will be depicted on their reverse side, are the following beasts: the Falcon of the Plantagenets, the Griffin of Edward III, the Black Bull of Clarence, the White Lion of Mortimer, the Yale of Beaufort, the White Greyhound of Richmond, the Unicorn of Scotland, the Red Dragon of Wales, and the White Horse of Hanover.
