The obverse features the famous Walking Lady Liberty design. Lady Liberty holds an oak branch, walking forward with the sun rising behind her. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY" as well as the year of mintage.

The reverse depicts an American Eagle behind a US-flag shield on its chest. The Eagle holds a banner in its beak. Inscriptions include the weight and denomination.
