2009 1 oz $50 Gold American Buffalo NGC MS 70 Early Releases

The obverse of the coin depicts a Native American, a combination of the features of three chiefs from different American Indian tribes: Big Tree, Iron Tail, and Two Moons. Inscribed is the word "LIBERTY" along with the year of mintage and the "F" for Fraser.

The reverse features the American Buffalo from a left profile, standing atop a mound of dirt. Inscribed is "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," along with the weight, purity, and denomination.
