This 2007 W 1/2 oz $10 First Spouse - Jefferson's Liberty Gold NGC MS 70 is a part of the First Spouse Series, honoring the women that supported our great leaders of the US. Sadly, Thomas Jefferson served as President after the death of his wife, making this coin stand apart from many of the others.

The obverse features Lady Liberty used in the Draped Bust Half Cent, along with the order of the Presidency and the years of his term. In addition are the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST," "LIBERTY," and the year of mintage.

The reverse displays Thomas Jefferson's monument, his final resting place along with a reproduction of the inscription. Engraved is "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," along with the denomination, weight, and purity.
