2007 W 1/2 oz $10 First Spouse - Jefferson's Liberty Gold Proof Coin (w/Box & COA)

Celebrate America’s early ideals of liberty and virtue with the 2007-W $10 Jefferson’s Liberty Gold Proof Coin, part of the U.S. Mint’s esteemed First Spouse Gold Coin Series. Struck in 1/2 troy ounce of .9999 fine gold and bearing the "W" West Point Mintmark, this proof-quality coin honors President Thomas Jefferson’s era and the legacy of Liberty itself—standing in place of a First Lady due to Jefferson’s status as a widower.

This edition comes complete with its original U.S. Mint presentation box and Certificate of Authenticity (COA), preserving its numismatic integrity and collectible appeal. With its brilliant proof finish, deeply frosted devices, and mirror-like fields, this coin is a beautifully struck tribute to the foundations of the American Republic.

Since Jefferson’s wife, Martha Jefferson, died years before his presidency, the U.S. Mint chose to honor the concept of Liberty as depicted on U.S. coinage of his time. The obverse features a rendition of Liberty taken from the 1800 Draped Bust Half Cent, a design symbolic of early American ideals and the neoclassical style favored during Jefferson’s era.
