2006 $25 1/2 oz Gold Eagle NGC MS 70 First Strikes

This $25 American Eagle gold bullion was issued in 2006, and is graded as MS 70: the perfect coin, as minted, with no trace of wear, handling, scratches or contact with other coins from a 5x microscope. The American Eagle gold bullion coins contain 1/2 oz. of gold. The American Gold Eagle is an official gold bullion coin of the United States. 

The obverse features a modified rendition of the Augustus Saint-Gaudens design used on U.S. twenty-dollar gold pieces from 1907 until 1933 of a full length figure of Lady Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, with the Capitol building in the left background. The reverse displays a "family of eagles" motif designed by sculptor Miley Busiek, featuring a male eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings.
