The obverse features the image of Paul Kruger, surrounded by inscriptions including "SUID- AFRIKA" and "SOUTH AFRICA".

The reverse from four of the five coins displays the Springbok antelope, surrounded by the engravings “2002”, “Krugerrand” along with the weight and purity of the coin.

Set includes one silver medallion with a rendition of the veldponde (field pounds) coin during the Boer Wars.
