This Set of 3 1997 3-Coin Proof Impressions of Liberty of  $50, $1, and $100 coins is graded by NGC as Proof 69 Ultra Cameo - Coin has a sharp strike with full original luster, with no more than two small non-detracting contact marks or flaws. No hairlines or scuff marks are visible. Eye appeal is exceptional.

Platinum American Eagle:

The obverse (front) was designed by U.S. Mint chief engraver John Mercanti and features the strong face of the Statue of Liberty, our universal symbol of freedom, gazing confidently forward, below the word "Liberty," with the year (1997) and "In God We Trust" to the side. "E Pluribus Unum" is engraved along Liberty's raised arm. The reverse (back) was designed by U.S. Mint sculptor Thomas D. Rogers and features a soaring American eagle with outstretched wings above a newly rising sun, with "United States of America" above. The weight, purity and $100 face value are also shown.

Gold American Eagle:

The obverse side of the coin features Augustus Saint-Gaudens' depiction of Lady Liberty carrying a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, the sun's rays and the Capitol building on the background, and the coin's date of issue. The reverse side features Miley Busiek's design of a male eagle holding an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings, along with the denomination and the weight of the coin.

Silver American Eagle:

The obverse design features Lady Liberty moving toward the sunlight while carrying a laurel oak in her hand, symbolizing our country' strength. She is enveloped by stars and stripes, with the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “LIBERTY” completing the design.

The reverse side features a design by American sculptor-engraver John M. Mercanti, portraying a heraldic eagle with a shield holding olive branches in its right talon, and arrows in its left. Above the eagle are the 13 point stars commemorating the 13 colonies. Inscribed on the rim of the coin are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, and “1 OZ, FINE SILVER ONE DOLLAR”. E PLURIBUS UNUM can be found in the banner in the eagle’s beak.
