This 1989 1 oz Silver American Eagle is a part of the popular Silver Eagle Series. This Mint Error coin comes graded a near-perfect Mint State 69 by NGC.
The obverse side features the iconic Walking Liberty design in front of a rising sun. Inscriptions encircling the coin include "LIBERTY;" "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year of mintage.
The reverse side portrays the US Presidential Seal, with 13 stars above its head representing the original colonies. The eagle on the seal holds a banner containing the phrase "E PLURIBUS UNUM" ("Out of Many, One"). Circling the rim are the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER" and "ONE DOLLAR."
