1925 $20 Gold Saint Gaudens Double Eagle Coin NGC MS 61

This beautiful 1925 Saint-Gaudens double eagle is graded by NGC as Mint State 61.

After several versions of the design for the double eagle proved too difficult to strike, Barber modified Saint-Gaudens's design, lowering the relief so the coin could be struck with only one blow.

The coin weighs .9675 troy ounce, is struck in 90% fine gold, and exhibits the Motto "In God We Trust", like all Saint-Gaudens double eagles after 1908.
