The obverse features Liberty in full-length frontal view, her head turned towards the right with her left hand holding a shield and her right hand holding an olive branch as she strides through a gate between two walls. Inscriptions - “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “LIBERTY,” and the year of mintage.
The reverse displays a majestic bald eagle in flight with the 13 stars surrounding it, representing the 13 original colonies. Inscriptions - “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “QUARTER DOLLAR,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
