1876 S $20 Liberty Head Gold Double Eagle Coin NGC AU 53

This stunning 1876-S Liberty Head Gold Double Eagle Coin is graded by NGC as Almost Uncirculated 53. Collectors will want to add this piece of history to their precious metals portfolio !

The obverse side, draws inspiration from the "Crouching Venus", with Lady Liberty facing left and wearing a pearl-studded diadem with the word "LIBERTY" inscribed on it, along with the year of mintage.

The reverse depicts the Seal of the United States, with an American Eagle baring a shield on its breast beneath a ring of 13 stars, for the 13 original colonies. The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "TWENTY DOLLARS" are inscribed along the edge of the coin, and "IN GOD WE TRUST" is found above the eagle's head.
