This 1861 $2.5 Liberty Head Quarter Eagle Gold Coin PCGS MS 64 will make a wonderful choice for any gold collector. The coin is made from 90% gold and is graded by PCGS as Mint State 64.
The obverse features a left-sided bust of Lady Liberty surrounded by 13 stars. Inscriptions include the phrase "LIBERTY" on her hairband and the year of mintage.
The reverse shows a bald eagle with a patriotic shield on its chest and its wings spread open. In its talons are a bundle of arrows and an olive branch. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination.
