Each 2014 Saltwater Crocodile coin is composed of 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver and arrives in brilliant uncirculated condition. In addition to being the world’s largest living reptile, the Australian Saltwater Crocodile is the ultimate predator -- and the species most likely to attack a human. Reported to grow to lengths of up to seven meters, this formidable creature is found in habitats from northern Australia, through Southeast Asia, to the eastern coast of India. The coin’s reverse features a large Saltwater Crocodile with its mouth open, displaying its sharp teeth. It also features the inscription AUSTRALIAN SALTWATER CROCODILE, the 2014 year-date, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark as well as coin specifications. The coin’s obverse portrays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
