The dingo originates from an ancient lineage of Australian canines that possesses a lean, hardy body adapted for agility, speed, and stamina. The dingo's habitat covers most of Australia, excluding the southeast, an area of the southwest, and Tasmania. At the age of 3 weeks, the Dingo pups leave the den for the first time, and they soon begin to explore further afield, learning how to navigate Australia’s unforgiving landscape while accompanied by their parents. By two months old, they’re much less reliant on their mother’s milk and generally venture off on their own for good at the age of 3–6 months.
