The transition from the Morgan Dollar to the Peace Dollar design in 1921 reflected a pivotal moment in American history. 

The 2021 Morgan Dollar was produced with an uncirculated finish in five versions, honoring the Mint facilities that originally minted the coin. To recreate these designs for the 2021 coins, the Mint utilized historic assets such as coins, dies, and high-resolution images to capture the artists’ original intent. The modern renditions differ in metal composition from the original coins. The 2021 Peace Dollar was produced with an uncirculated finish and no mint mark. The original Morgan and Peace Dollars were 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper, while the 2021 coins were struck at 99.9 percent silver, akin to current commemorative dollar coins.

In 2023, the U.S. Mint continued to release Morgan and Peace Dollar coin products annually. The legacy continued with the Morgan and Peace Silver Dollar coins issued in Uncirculated, Proof, and Reverse Proof Finishes.

2024 MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR
