U.S. Dollar vs Platinum Price vs Precious metals

The US dollar shed gains against major rivals on Thursday. News after viewing a White House tax reform announcement. It was lacking in new details yesterday. Gold prices edged down on Thursday. Also, on ebbing geopolitical worries but skepticism over US President Donald Trump's proposed tax reform curbed further losses. But prices for the precious metal moved a bit higher in electronic trading. This was after Trump administration unveiled some details of a broad tax plan. Also, gold prices have been under pressure since pro-EU candidate Emmanuel Macron won the first round of the French presidential election. Gold price slightly increased today, silver price are slightly dropped on morning trading, the platinum price and palladium price also slightly increased.

U.S. stocks on Thursday opened slightly higher S&P 500 2388.61 (+0.05%) and NASDAQ Index 6034.46 (+0.15%), Dow Jones Industrial Average 20988.81 (+0.07%). U.S. stocks rose today after comments made by President Donald Trump. So, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the administration was close to "major tax reform," and companies released quarterly results. US President Donald Trump's plan would cut the income tax rate paid by public corporations to 15 per cent from 35 per cent. And, reduce the top tax rate assessed on pass-through businesses. This includes small partnerships and sole proprietorships, to 15 percent from 39.6 per cent. In the US data sphere, a busy calendar today comprises Durable Goods Orders. The usual weekly report on the labor market, Pending Home Sales and Goods Trade Balance figures.
