Clueless About Coca-Cola? Let Us “Refresh” Your Memory!
From 1886 until today, Coca-Cola products remain a staple of refreshment in many consumers’ diets. In addition to soda products, the Coca-Cola company also manufactures drinks including juices, coffees, teas, and waters. In fact, Coca-Cola is the world’s largest beverage company with over 500 brands and almost 3,900 different drink options. Specifically, some of its more popular brands include Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta Orange, Sprite, Dasani, Vitaminwater, Powerade, and more. However, the name Coca-Cola mainly generates an image of refreshing soda pop. Therefore, the iconic Coca-Cola glass bottle has been celebrated in music, art, and advertising. Now, it is also featured as bullion!
WHY COLLECT GRADED COINS?
The coin grading system, developed in 1949 by Dr. William Sheldon, assigns coins a specific numerical value based on a variety of factors including rarity and condition, among others. The scale starts at 1 and reaches up to 70, the highest grade. Coins graded PF (for proof) or MS (for BU) 70 contain no visible flaws or imperfections at 5x magnification. As such, collectors and investors frequently add PF 69 and 70 coins to their portfolios to increase the overall value. For certain coins, high grades are exceedingly rare and therefore prized among coin collectors. Furthermore, graded coins arrive in special holders or “slabs” from grading companies with official labels assuring their authenticity.
