The Noah’s Ark coin was introduced in 2011, however, the 5 oz edition wasn’t released until 2012. The biblical tale of Noah’s Ark is about how Noah built an ark to save two of every animal (one female, one male) from a disastrous flood. Famously, Noah knew the rain was coming to an end after a dove brought back an olive branch. When the storm ended, the ark landed on Mount Ararat, which was located in Armenia. This peaceful scene is depicted on this silver coin.
