The Lakshmi Bar is one of five bars to be released as part of the PAMP Gold Series, with each uniquely designed in celebration of different religious figures, monuments and icons. Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, love, prosperity, fortune, and the embodiment of beauty. Her four hands represent the four goals of human life considered proper in the Hindu way of life – dharma, kama, artha, and moksha.

Archeological discoveries and ancient coins suggest the recognition and reverence for goddess Lakshmi. Lakshmi’s iconography and statues have been found in Hindu temples of Southeast Asia, estimated to be from the second half of the 1st millennium AD. Today, Lakshmi is worshipped as the goddess of wealth. The festivals of Diwali and Sharad Purnima are celebrated in her honor. The reverse side of this exquisite coin features a detailed rendering of Lakshmi with diagonal lines behind her. The obverse side features a circular PAMP logo, along with the words “SUISSE” “50g” “FINE GOLD” “999.9” and an individualized serial number.
