35% Silver $1 Face Value War Nickel Coin
These nickel coins were made in the US from 1942 to 1945. They were made from 56% copper, 35% silver and 9% manganese. On the front of the coin you can find the profile of Thomas Jefferson with the words “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “LIBERTY” engraved along with the date of the coin. On the back of the coin you can find a picture of Monticello which was Jefferson’s home in Virginia. Above the image “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is engraved along with the mint mark and face value which is five cents. These coins come in a bag with a total face value of one dollar. The diameter of the coins is 21.21 mm and the thickness is 1.95 mm. Like all of our other silver coins these are guaranteed to be 100% authentic.
