They made a comeback in 1921, only to be replaced later that year by the introduction of the Peace Dollar. In a special tribute to the centennial anniversary of the transition from Morgan to Peace dollars, the Morgan Silver Dollar was reissued in 2021. The new edition of this coin combines the best of modern and traditional US minting technology, paying homage to its rich historical legacy while embracing the advancements of the present.
