Created by Mint Chief Engraver George T. Morgan in 1878, the Morgan Silver Dollar embodies the era of westward expansion and industrial advancement. The Morgan Dollars were produced until 1904 and again in 1921 before the Peace Dollar replaced them later that same year. The new Morgan Silver Dollar represents a blend of modern and classic US Mint technology.
The obverse features a left-facing profile of Lady Liberty wearing a cap and crown, along with 13 stars and inscriptions. The reverse showcases an eagle with open wings, holding arrows, and an olive branch in its talons.
