This silver coin celebrates the Canadian Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II! Coronated in 1952 at the age of 25, Queen Elizabeth II led her people through many worldwide challenges and milestones. Designed by Neil Hamelin, this coin features two portraits of Her Majesty, one at the beginning and one at the end of her 70- year reign. Both portraits are finely detailed, honoring Queen Elizabeth II and her historic years of leadership. Hamelin’s design also showcases a few maple leaves, creating an additional nod towards her service as the Queen of Canada. This coin arrives with an insert card displaying the Canadian Platinum Jubilee symbol as well as a quote from a speech delivered in Ottawa on July 1, 2010, by Her Majesty herself.

The obverse features the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by inscriptions.
