This 2021 Great Britain 1 oz Gold Britannia Coin NGC MS 67 Mint Error is a great addition to any collection, graded by NGC as Mint State 67. This coin was horizontally misaligned in the striking chamber, with the edge of the coin hanging outside of the striking zone. When the dies struck the planchet, the piece that was hanging out of the chamber was separated from the rest of the planchet. NGC has recognized these two pieces as a "mated pair" meaning they were originally from the same planchet.
The obverse features a bust of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with the denomination.
The reverse shows a standing Britannia with her trident and shield. Inscriptions include the weight, purity, and the year of mintage.
