Since its inception in 1986, the American Gold Eagle coin series has achieved worldwide recognition as one of the most popular modern bullion coin programs in both gold and silver. The Gold American Eagle series celebrates two renowned American icons: the strong bald eagle and the inspiring Lady Liberty. Her hair and gown billow gently in the breeze, and behind her lies the US Capitol lit up by the sun’s rays.

On the reverse is the majestic and mighty bald eagle. One parent arrives back to its nest with an olive branch in its talons. The other parent eagle sits with their hatchling, awaiting its return. Each gold coin features the weight, face value, and the inscriptions “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”
