This Bullion Exchanges exclusive coin contains 2 oz of .9999 fine silver, coated with a Black Ruthenium finish with pure gold plating added on top of the White Lion.

The Queen’s Beasts series commemorates the coronation day of Queen Elizabeth II, the world’s longest-reigning monarch as of 2016. Upon entering Westminster Abbey in 1953 for her coronation, the Queen saw the path lined with ten “beasts” representing important aspects of the lives of her royal ancestors. The White Lion of Mortimer descends to the Queen through the first Yorkist King- Edward IV, who ruled for many years during two reigns. His first reign lasted from 1461 to 1470, and his second lasted from 1471 until his death in 1483.

The obverse of the ruthenium coin features artist Jody Clark’s Queen Elizabeth II design. The Queen wears an ornate crown and elegant earrings.

On the reverse of the coin, a fierce White Lion stands upon its hind legs while supporting a large shield. The shield carried by the lion displays a white rose of York in the center of a bright sun.
