This Bullion Exchanges exclusive coin contains 2 oz of .9999 fine silver coated with a Black Ruthenium finish and pure gold plating over the White Horse. This special coin is the latest rendition of the White Horse of Hanover collection as it joins the 1 oz gold and 2 oz silver variations in the 2020 Queen’s Beasts range.

The series of the Queen’s Beasts are inspired by the ten heraldic statues that stood watch at the coronation of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. This series commemorates Her Majesty becoming the world’s longest-reigning monarch in 2015, and showcases her royal lineage with each beast. The White Horse of Hanover descends to the Queen through George I, who succeeded to the throne in 1714. This horse is emblematic of the former king who was the first Hanoverian king of Great Britain.

The obverse of the ruthenium coin showcases the elegant portrait, by Jody Clark, of Queen Elizabeth II wearing her crown and jewels. 

The reverse of this coin features the White Horse of Hanover, rearing back on its hind legs while bearing a shield. This design pays tribute to Georg Ludwig from Hanover, Germany. Later known as George I, he became the first British ruler from the House of Hanover.
