James Bond, one of the most famous secret agents in pop culture, is one of the very few elite agents with a “License to Kill”, indicated by the 00 in his assigned number, 007. The character, developed by English author, journalist and naval intelligence officer Ian Flemming, serves as an intelligence officer in MI6 - the Secret Intelligence Service.

Flemming introduced James Bond in 1953, featuring him in 12 novels and two collections of short stories. After Ian Flemming’s death in 1964, eight other authors wrote novels or stories featuring the famous deadly secret agent.
