The Great Horned Owl, also known as the Tiger Owl or the Hoot Owl, lives primarily in North and South America. This owl ranges in length from 17 to 25 inches and possesses a wingspan of 3 to 5 feet. The prominent ear tufts on its head look like horns, inspiring its name. While it mainly hunts mice, rabbits, and voles, the Great Horned Owl occasionally incapacitates larger mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Therefore, this Silver Owl Coins fits right in amongst the other intimidating predators of the sky.

The coin’s obverse displays the profile of Queen Elizabeth II on the right, surrounded by the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II”, “SOLOMON ISLANDS”, as well as the year and denomination.
