NGC graded this newest release from the United States Mint American Liberty Program a perfect SP 70. The US Mint Liberty Program, initiated in 2015, develops brand-new versions of the well-known Lady Liberty design. Consisting of 2.5 troy ounces of .999 fine silver, this 2019 Liberty medal contains a high silver content. This new high relief Lady Liberty commemorates our nation's rich history while honoring our ability to celebrate the evolution of ideas.
A modernized Lady Liberty graces the obverse of the silver medal. A gust of wind blows through Liberty's hair while she looks confidently forward. Beams of light emanating from behind Lady Liberty's head provide a symbol of hope. Thirteen stars, standing for the 13 original colonies, surround the border of the medal.
The reimagined image of a bald eagle flies across the reverse of the silver medal. The eagle's talons stretch out towards the ground.
