The reverse displays the strong and beautiful Britannia, standing firm with a shield, trident, and warrior helmet. She is the female exemplification of Great Britain and symbolizes a deep strength and integrity. She has been on coinage since the times of the Romans. This Britannia is a design by Philip Nathan.
