As King Richard I of England returned home through Europe with his powers, he was halted by the military of Duke Leopold V and detained inside Austria as retribution for his slight in Acre. To procure his opportunity, Richard the Lionheart paid Leopold V a total of 15 tons of silver that the last used to establish the Austrian Mint in Vienna.
