These medals are minted with state-of-the-art anti-counterfeiting features, such as a changing appearance of the lettering that can be seen as the medal is tilted and rotated. Struck of a pure .999 silver, the obverse features a fierce image of a tiger, growling into stalks of bamboo. The reverse displays an image of Korea rendered with Hangul, the Korean script.
